VOMAC 2026

We hereby invite you to the 20th anniversary of VOMAC! This time we have tried to include two more highlights in addition to the tried and tested ‘Driving on Ice’ on Routevare, Stig Blomqvist's facility and the BBQ on the Arctic Circle (in ‘our cabins’). After we meet at the Hotel Clarion Sense Luleå on Wednesday (11th February 2026), we will travel together to the ‘Dinner on Ice’ and have a proper celebration on the frozen Baltic Sea in tipis (Lappkåta). The champagne hangs under the elegantly decorated dinner table in a hole drilled in the Baltic Sea. There is typical Nordic cuisine in an elegant ambience and it is certainly one of the most unusual restaurant locations in the world (by the way, it was created especially for us!!)

Thursday (12th February 2026)

then it's off to the fantastic Driving on Ice. There are enough pictures of this part of the day (VOMAC) on YouTube etc... After dinner at the hotel we'll meet at the bar?

Friday (13th February 2026)

we will visit the biggest rapids in Europe. Really fantastic in winter! Then we'll go to "our cabins" in the Arctic Circle to watch the Northern Lights over a BBQ at dusk (unfortunately we can't guarantee the Aurora Borealis, but the time is perfect!!!). Food and drinks will be provided, as will lighting and warmth, so hopefully we'll have a great late afternoon/evening. (Many thanks already for helping with the dismantling, as our team has been on site for 2 days shovelling snow, heating etc.). If you feel like it, you can also go for a little ride in the snow.

Saturday (14th February 2026)

will be funny for the GPS...

After we've had breakfast, we have 2 hours to go shopping for the first time (we've been repeatedly advised to do so...). After that we get back into the cars and drive along the official ice roads in the polar region. ...looks a bit strange for the GPS.... but it is... Dinner at the hotel, as usual in the Skylounge...

Sunday (15th February 2026)

We are approaching the end of VOMAC 2026, but not without another highlight!!! After breakfast, we set off about 70 kilometres south (Piteå) and will use the Icebreaker we have chartered to clear the Baltic Sea a little. Maybe we'll make a stop on the ice to disembark and have a drink? We will then say goodbye on board and hope that the return journey goes well for everyone.
