13.03.08, Rolf Marschner: Hello Per! It´s nice to see that you are interested in our crazy trip to the Top of Europe in winter. Our Motto was called \"From Hamm to Hammerfest\". In 2009 our Motto could be \"From Hamm to Hammamet\". It´s in Tunesia, we don´t have to freeze and we can leave our snowboots at home and also our spikes.
05.03.08, Per Helgesson: Thats great! You are home. It was a pity you didn´t reach the northcape after so many kilometers! Do you have any pictures from Norway ? And whats next? Iceland? I have been there with my 145.
04.03.08, Rolf Marscher: We are back at home without any problem! Sorry for the long space of time we need for this feedback in the VOMAC-guestbook. After 6.815 km we reached our hometown Hamm, Northrine-Westphalia, Germany, well-planned on the 16th of February. At the last 13 kilometers before we reached the Northcape a barrier gate detains us to reach the Top of Europe. But it doesn´t matter. Because we feel like winners feels. At our hotel, the Repvag Fjord Hotell (their Rorbu was SUPER!), about 12 km in the south of Honningsvag on the Northcape-Island Maleroy, Wolfgang and Andreas Manicke with the concours winner Duett and me with my strong running Amazon separates from Manfred and Margot Braeuer, because M & M went home to Germany across Finland. After 32 hours without a bed we arrived in Knutsdorp, about 12 Kilomters in the north of Eksjö, our base camp in the south of Sweden. Only the exhaust of Wolfgangs Duett made 2-3 times little problems. It was broken and Wolfgang has to weld it, at last in Hammerfest. Once again the VOMAC was a big thing and we would like to say a big \"Thank you\" to Ortwin Schroeder and Heiko Mueller and the whole team for the big first-rate job they made.
04.03.08, Rolf Marschner: We are back at home without any problems!
01.03.08, ABA: I love this very page so carry go my dear.

30.01.08, Per Helgesson: We all want to hear from you when you get home again. And see pictures! See you soon in Umeå! I drive the red 145-1974.
29.01.08, Rolf Marschner: To Per Helgesson: Thank´s a lot for your kind and helpfully informations. We´ll try to manage the impossible!
27.01.08, Per helgesson: To Rolf. This is the convoydriving times at the E69 northen part:http://www.vegvesen.no/cs/Satellite?c=Page&cid=1157615705786&pagename=vegvesen%2FPage%2FSVVsubSideInnholdMal
27.01.08, Per Helgesson: To Rolf Marschner: I think its only the last 8-10 km of the E69 that is closed. Between Skarsvåg and Nordkapp. Maybe, if you get so far you can pay a little extra to a snow-plower driver, so he can do the road clear for you! Or maybe you can rent a snow-scooter to drive the last bit if the wheather is ok. Remember, this is a no man land, and if you get stucked in the snow, nobody will found you until the spring!
25.01.08, Martin J.: We are looking foreward to see you all agin. We are staying at Scatic hotell in Umeå the night before visiting the Volvo plant. Best regards from Inger and Martin
23.01.08, Per Helgesson: This is another link with webcamares from the swedish roadinformation. You can see the temperature, wind and a picture of the roadsurface in different places in Sweden. For sure, in northen Sweden it is by now -30 degrees. Its good!! http://trafikinfo.vv.se/triniMenu/trinimenu.html?startmenu=2
23.01.08, Per Helgesson: This is a link from the norwegian roadinformation. Only in Norwegian. I can see that the E69 road usually is closed between november and april. Thats a problem.http://www.vegvesen.no/cs/Satellite?cid=1157615706655&pagename=vegvesen/Page/SVVsubSideInnholdMal&c=Page
21.01.08, Rolf Marschner: ...please let us know anything. We know that the chances to reach the northcape in winter are not very promising. We hope there is someone with good connections when we are at the right time at the right place. If there are someone who reads this guestbook and has any good suggestions, please report.
21.01.08, Rolf Marschner: If you have tipps for our northcape trip...
16.01.08, Per Helgesson: I´m not sure its possible to drive to northcape in winter. Sometimes the mountainroads in Norway are closed. And sometimes its only allowed to drive in a convoy behind the snow-throwermachine. You maybe have to wait for hours. But I wish you a good trip. See you in Umeå!!
05.01.08, Ansgar: Great idea! We heard this year the first time from VOMAC. Me, my Wife, my oldest son and his girlfriend would like join the Volvo meeting in 2009 with 2 Cars! Have a good time this year, we met us in 2009. Bye A.
03.01.08, Steven Meijer: Well, it seems that my father can make it this year! My mother will join him instead of me.
20.12.07, Steven Meijer: Unfortunately, this year we will not participate. The last two years were amazing, but this year my father and I can\'t make it. We\'ve tried everything to make it possible, but study gets in the way of all the fun. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Maybe we will see each other at the VROM!?
---- We wish all Volvo enthusiasts a merry christmas and a happy new year!
06.12.07, Remco: I will leave NL on Monday, then drive via Copenhagen and Stockholm to Umeå. We will stay at hotel Aveny in Umeå on Wed-night. On the way back we will take the ferry to Vaasa (Finland) on Sunday (dep. Umeå 14:00), drive to Helsinki and then go back home on the Helsinki-Rostock Superfast Ferry. We plan to arrive back in NL very late at night on Tuesday 12/2 (or more likely on Wednesday 13/2)
16.11.07, Per Helgesson: Sorry! Wrong information. about the distance between Kramfors and Umeå. Its rather 3 hours to drive. Its about 200 km and no motorway.
16.11.07, Per Helgesson: We are staying the first night in Kramfors at hotel Kramm. I think those from Germany also stay there, is it right? Kramfors is located one hour or two south of Umeå.
15.11.07, Remco: Hello all: I just enrolled for the 2008 adventure. I will be driving my S80 from Nijmegen, Netherlands, probably making this a 7 or 8 day and over 5000 km roundtrip. As this is my first time, any recommendations for hotels on the way up and down? We\'ll probably go back via Finland, just for the fun of taking a winterferry across the Botnic and visit Helsinki for a day. Anyone experience with the Vaasa - Umea line in February?
11.11.07, Per Helgesson: Hello Volvofriends! Now I also have signed up for Vomac 2008. I participated 2006 with my red 145-74, and also this this time I will drive that car. We start from Gothenburg early in wednesday morning and will drive the 900 km to Kramfors during the day. Looking forward to see you all.
27.08.07, Rolf Marschner: Hallo Ortwin, hallo Heiko!
30.07.07, johan: Sorry, forgot the adress to the site that contains documentation and contact information: www.johankauppi.com/volvoduett
30.07.07, johan: Volvo Duett -61, For sale
24.07.07, Ortwin: Hello Per. Yes, you are right, no hotel night in Umeå. After the study visit and a lunch at Volvo Trucks we will leave Umeå and drive directly to Arvidsjaur. From Arvidsjaur we will than drive to the arctic circle and to Jokkmokk. Thank you for the link to the vinter market. BR Ortwin
20.07.07, Per: Hello again! I really hope thet I have the possibility to join the winterVomac 2008. 16.01.07, Martin: Winter geht leider nicht eg. Krankheitsfall inder Familie. Ist schon etwas für Sommer 2007 geplant?
14.01.07, Sally: Please can you keep me updated with your plans for Summer 2007-hope we can join you on a future meeting! Best wishes-Sally & Nick, UK (1968 Volvo Amazon Estate)
27.11.06, Ortwin: Hello\"Just Wonder\", you´re right, Kramfors is not the Arctic Circle but VOMAC means also that we will meet during winter in a nothern part of Sweden. In Kramfors, we have the opportunity to deive with our Volvo cars on a winter driving range with help of instructors. That´s something the participants asked for after the first meeting.
20.11.06, Just Wonder: Where is the conection between Kramfors and the Artic Circle?
Reisekosten.

Thank you once again for coming and joining us and I hope we´ll meet again at the 16 - 18 february 2007 at the \"Höga Kusten\" for the second VOMAC winter meeting! Soon, you´ll find all informations about the new meeting here on this site!
04.07.06, Rolf Jansen: Finally, I found a little time to visit this site. I like it very much. Too bad, I don\'t own a Volvo. Do you accept guests with an old Mercedes? ;-)
25.06.06, Maurizio Borri: Looking at the pictures I only can think is that If Italy and Sweden were less distant my PV444 and me we\'ld already take part to one of your meeting.
19.03.06, Daniel Wilten: I just took a look at the photos and can only imagine what a wonderful event it must have been! Maybe next time I will be there with my 480 ;-)
08.03.06, Stoffel: Leen and myself would like to thank everybody who contributed to the marvellous weekend that we spent in Lulea. It was perfectly organized, and we met very nice people. The hotel, the food, the rally, the icebreaker...the Volvo’s...the snow, the sun.. PERFECT! This year I will not be able to come to Sweden again for a \'potential\' vromm\' event, but I do wish you the best of luck with the outcome of your meeting. Thanks again , and hope to see you at the 80th anniversary of Volvo next year!!!!
27.02.06, Steven Meijer: some short movieclips: http://www.sminc.nl/movies/icebreaker.AVI and http://www.sminc.nl/movies/road1.AVI (road2.AVI, road3.AVI, ..., road7.AVI)
25.02.06, Janko Koen: Hello everybody, we are back in Holland again. We also arrived home save! We have had a very nice trip with the amazon. He was running very well! It was a pleasure to meet you all! I hope we see you on a next trip.... maybe VOMAC 2007?? Who knows.... (Pictures are coming as soon as possible)
23.02.06, Admin: I build in a securitycode for the VOMAC GB. i hope it blocks the spammers... :-/
20.02.06, Steven Meijer: I just arrived in Holland and I also want to thank everybody who was involved, it was an wonderful experience. Hopefully we will meet next time, in winter or summer.
20.02.06, Ortwin: It´s monday morning and I am back from Luleå. The only thing I can do is to say \"Thank you\" to all participants. A lot of them came realy a long way from Holland, Belgium, Austria and Germay with their Amazon, Duett, 145 Express and 240. From the swedish west coast we had a 145 and from south sweden an enthusiast came with his PV. The all drove the long and snowy roads through Sweden and I think that is absolutly fantastic! Other participants came from Stockholm and some from North Sweden, too. I am sure that we can call this first VOMAC as a success. On both days, the weather was perfect: on the artic circle, the sun was shining and the temperature was round about 12 - 14 degrees cold. The trip on saturday was wonderful, driving on winter roads through a lonely landscape. The sunday started with a problem and it looked like this day could be a disaster but at least everything went OK and the trip on the icebreaker safari could start with 1,5 hours delay. But this didn´t matter and all were happy to take a trip on the ice. Some of us even took a bath in the icy water - with a survival suit of course! Like on saturday, the sun was shining and made this safari to a highlight of this VOMAC! Once again, I will thank all participants that they took the long way to Luleå and made this meeting an unforgetalble success. I will ask all who took picture, to put them on our homepage or to give us a link where we can find them, so that everyone can see, what a good time we had, up in Norrbotten. Thank you also to the \"Norrlands Motorhistoriker\", a lokal club for all veteran cars, that let us visit their club office where we had some good discussions on friday evening (we have a link to their homepage here on our VOMAC homepage). I am sure, that this meeting was only a beginning and I hope that this will lead to a new tradition that Volvo enthusiasts from Sweden and the rest of Europe will meet during winter at the arctic circle. To be continued...
14.02.06, Bastiaan: Off course good luck in the snow ;o)
14.02.06, Bastiaan: I\'m trying to find out more about what\'s happening after the snow... How about VROM 2006? What will be the dates?
10.02.06, Per Helgesson: Hello! I attend to travel with my 145-74 all the way from Gothenburg. I think it would be about 1500 km one way. I am looking forward to join the VOMAC meeting in the northen paradise of sweden. I had only been there during summer before. I expect -30 degrees!!
10.02.06, Ortwin: We have 31 announcements with 60 participants from Sweden, Germay, the Netherlands, Belgium and Austria. They come with their Volvo PV, Amazon, 145, Express, P1800, P210 Duetts and 240. Other rented new Volvos, kind of XC70, XC90 and V50.
10.02.06, Steven Meijer: How many people are you expecting?
28.01.06, Admin: Welcome to the Vomac Guestbook! /Admin
